Description
Casamance Fashion Week is a flagship fashion event, highlighting not only fashion, but also the promotion of the Casamance destination.
The event aims to value local artisans, celebrate African cultural diversity and draw attention to the region's tourism potential. By uniting creators, in particular Senegal Fashion Designers, stylists and fashion enthusiasts, Casamance Fashion Week becomes a vector of visibility and economic dynamism, while strengthening Casamance's cultural identity. This fashion show is a single day event and takes place in December in the Fashion calender. This African show takes place in the Autonomous Part of Ziguinchor, a melting pot of all the ethnic groups co-existing in Senegal. The city is a vibrant tourist destination and the beaches of nearby Cap Skirring, which were discovered by foreign tourists in the 1960s form a curated list of things to do in Senegal. Renowned luminaries of Senegal with African heritage design graced the event's stage, among them, the illustrious talents of include: Ziza Creation [https://www.instagram.com/zizacreation/]; Mos Design [https://www.instagram.com/mos_design_officiel/]; Gelisa George [https://www.instagram.com/gelisageorge/]; Loufa Loufastyle [https://www.instagram.com/loufastyle/]; Set against the stunning backdrop of Yaounde — often referred to as the 'Hollywood North' — this fashion event captures the city’s creative pulse. For touring fashionistas and designers attending Yaounde Fashion Week, the city offers no shortage of attractions to explore. From scenic parks and world-class dining to vibrant art districts, there's plenty to enjoy before and after this must-attend fashion show.
